Our mission is to cultivate a creative and inclusive community in San Francisco, centered around the power of art and music to connect and inspire.  We hold space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized groups to showcase their talent, with a particular focus on the diverse roots of house, techno, and electronic music. 

Space SF is a Black woman lead art and music collective in San Francisco. The Space SF collective provides a welcoming and inclusive space for all to gather, collaborate, and create. We believe that art and music can be powerful tools for collective healing, empowerment, and social change.

Our world-class DJs and Funktion-One sound system bring the beat to life, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for everyone who enters our doors. Through our events, studios, and collective projects, we aim to inspire and empower artists and creatives of all backgrounds, promoting greater awareness and understanding of each other. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can express themselves freely and celebrate the richness of art & music. 

We are committed to providing affordable studio spaces for artists of all disciplines, as well as offering space for community-driven art and music projects that prioritize the voices and perspectives of marginalized communities. Our goal is to foster a vibrant and diverse artistic community that celebrates and uplifts the richness of our cultural heritage.

Through our events and programming, we aim to engage with the broader community and promote greater awareness and understanding of the issues facing marginalized groups. We believe that by creating spaces where artists and community members can come together to share their stories, experiences, and creativity, we can build stronger, more resilient communities that are better equipped to address the challenges of our time.

Above all, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where all members of our community can feel seen, heard, and valued. We believe that by working together and supporting one another, we can create a more just, equitable, and compassionate world.

SPACE SF is on a temporary hiatus due to external forces. As artists, we recognize the importance of community and the need to create spaces that are welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all. We understand the void we filled and the Space we held for our community and truly appreciate YOU.
